:uhoh3:hello all,
i am living in southern california and have decided to move into nursing form real estate. i hold a b.a.degree (comm) and have looked at the second degree/acclertated bsn programs. problem is here in cali all the programs are so competitve/impacted/requirements that would add years on to the fast track program just to meet the bio req's that cannot be taken simultaneously.
i hear that the fastest way would be to pay for private lvn/lpn school 12 months, start working and enter the cc or online program bypassing the long lottery and waitlist for most 2nd majors. this would be a asn degree and then take the rn exam. my old b.a. satisfys @half of the ge. req's. in cali it seems like this route (lvn to online to rn) backdoors you into the rn position rather than getting bogged down in the impacted competitive cheaper route of bsn to rn. i am asking for your ideas and advice please.
is the lvn to rn program possible to do while working?
is the backdoor route of lvn to rn a good option considering the situation here in cali.?
thanks so much, this will change my life and i cant wait.
