Nurses General Nursing
Published Apr 17, 2001
I have been a nurse manager for 10 years and I find it harder and harder. I would like to know if there is anyone who enjoys this job and can give me the reasons why. We are looking for nurse managers and are having a difficult time recruiting them.
If you could answer some questions for me maybe that would help
1) What degree do you have?
2) How many units do you supervise?
3) How many people do you supervise?
4) Do you have assistant nurse managers on the off shifts?
5) Can the ANM do evaluations?
6) What benefits do you have?
Personal days? Vacation Days?
7) Are you salaried or hourly?
8) What is your yearly salary?
9) If you are salaried do you get compensatory time off and do you have enough time to take it?
