Being a Musician and Nursing

Hello everyone. I have decided that I would like to change careers to nursing, I am also considering music therapy. I spent a long time in the hospital with my newborn son and was inspired by the nurses that took care of him.

I am not a professional musician, but I do play in some groups with regular rehearsals and performances, and would like to keep doing that. It just kind of seems like it would be very difficult to manage both things. Are there many nurses that are musicians and are still able to play gigs etc somewhat regularly?
