I just graduated with a Bachelor's in Nursing from University of Maryland. They have a Master's program for people with Bachelors in another field, called Clinical Nurse Leader. Basically, they give you the same nursing classes as the Bachelor's program and add a few classes related to being a clinical nurse leader, and they award you a Masters. You would wind up being a floor nurse for awhile just like someone who had a Bachelors in Nursing but with some experience if there were a promotion you would have a better chance of getting it over someone who only had the Bachelors. Hello everyone, I am new here and have a question about becoming a nurse. I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology (I thought I was going to go into Human Resources), however I now would really like to become a nurse, but since I already have a bachelors degree I am interested in getting a masters not another bachelors.
Does anyone have any advice for how to go about getting into an MSN program or combined program with a non-nursing bachelors degree? There are programs that take you from RN-MSN, does anyone know about hospital diploma RN programs so I could be getting experience while becoming an RN?
I am also interested in getting into one of those MSN combined with MBA programs. I spent most of my bachelors concentrating on business related psychology, law, and administration and would like to continue that as well.
Thanks for any help you could give me.
