The tests are strictly for the Sheridan programs. They have nothing to do with the health core as far as I know, you'd probably have to take them regardless. With BCC, you'd only be transferring the credit over, so it'd essentially be the same as taking it there. There are no tests that I know of required before admittance to the BC program.
I am taking the Health core class now online at Sheridan Tech. My class ends on 09/01. The deadline for the Jan 2010 Nursing program is Sept.15,2009. I currently have An overall GPA of a 3.69. My Program GPA I think is a 3.7. I am not sure what classes go in there. I used AP 1&2 with labs, ENC 1101, CHM 1032. I got As in everything but AP 2, I got a B in both lecture and lab. Does anyone know what GPA will usually get you into the program? I am not a broward county resident though. I also do not have the HOSA.so I won't get points for those.
I just finished my HCP core class at Sheridan and I am waiting on my certificates. The teacher said we should have them no later then 09/08/09. So I will have them in time for the 09/15/09 dead line. BCC finallu evaluated my transcripts and gave me a program GPA of 3.73. SO Sunraygurl, I PRAY you are right in the point system. I don't live in broward, so i won't get that point(bummer :-( But i still have 13 point....:-)

I know the Health Career Core for BCC's Nursing Program can be satisifed by taking the online core offered at Sheridan. My question is this- Normally, if you are planning to take the health career core at Sheridan prior to entering a Sheridan Health career program( such as their LPN program) they require the student to sit for the TABE and TEAS before you can enroll for their Health Career Core classes. Are the TEAS and TABE waived for those BCC nursing students who want to take the health core class at Sheirdan? Any info regarding this matter is most appreciated
