Just wondering which review class is better? I still havent figured out whether to take the ANCC or AANP exam. Any suggestions or thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you

As far as studying for the Boards, Barkley is much more comprehensive than Fitzgerald but I feel that Fitzgerald actually helped me more with the AANP exam. Fitzgerald is sort of short and sweet, went over a lot of stuff I already knew. I got it for free and I was glad because it is not dense enough in my opinion to cost what it cost. Barkley helped me with peds WAY more than fitzgerald and their where a ton of pediatric questions on my exam. Fitzgerald just goes over xanthums and OM and stept with kids. Barkley covers it all from newborn assessment to late adolescents. Try to get that stuff for free or really cheap. I used both and I passed with flying colors. Although I would be lying if I said I read the entire Barkley book. It was too much. Get Leik if you do the AANP. Its a must. That helped me the most. I have no idea how to tell you to study for the ANCC if you take that one, but to say to know your medicare/medicaid rules and regulations, research definitions, theory and policy. My friends said there were NO clinical questions, where the AANP is all clinical. Good luck and I hope this helps : )
