Hello,
I am currently taking my prerequisites for Nursing at my local community college. I would like to get into Baptist School of Health Professions. I have already gone to the school, took a tour, and talked to an admissions counselor.
The only drawback to this program is that it is a ADN program, and I know that hospitals are starting to choose BSN grads over ADN grads. But I really want to get the ADN and work to gain experience and then go back for a BSN or MSN.
Has anyone attended Baptist School of Health Professions? What are your opinions on the school? Are recent grads having a hard time finding a job with an ADN?

Thanks!

I went to BSHP and graduated this past April. I loved the program and the faculty as well. As far as I know, just about everyone that I graduated with, including myself passed NCLEX-RN on the first try. I had job interviews lined up within a week of graduating and got hired at Baptist Medical Center downtown within 1 month of graduation. I am going to go back and get my BSN because a lot of hospitals here in SA are going over to magnet status but as far as getting a job goes, I have not had any problems just because I have my ADN and not BSN. good luck!1

No it is not hard finding a job as an ADN there’s hardly any difference. it’s actually faster to get your ADN and do the rest online so you can start working sooner. I finished the program in 15 months and got a job in the aesthetic field right after graduation. nurses are greatly needed !! and baptist loves their alumni ?
