Back in the cpne saddle

So I have made the decision; going to do CPNE again. My parents and brothers kicked in some money (I don't have any left, ha, ha). Got a date at St. Peter's Albany May 8,9,10. My own personal black cloud of "Woman plans, God laughs" will not follow me out the MassPike.(Route 90)

However, the hits keep on coming; I applied to a LTC facility within walking distance to my house, my son is getting his license to drive OMG and we are going to share the car. Also, I need some more $ for CPNE so per diem locally sounded good. Applied 3/10, interviewed and urine tested 3/11, called 3/13 to the DON who had interviewed me, she said I would probably start 3/23 she would get back to me. Had not heard so I called this a.m., and was informed that she no longer worked there. Where is my app, pee results, CORI check yada, yada? No one seems to know.

I am also the whacko who got hit by dump truck on the way to Pearsonvue for NC6 and kept on driving, to h*ll with car damage and all that!!!

I guess that I really want to be an RN or I would have thrown in the towel by now. Good thing I can keep on laughing or I would get some hideous stress-induced disease LOL.

Congrats to exnavygirl and NcgirlRN on their recent achievements. You ROCK!!!

Maureen LPN soon to be RN

Good for you. Maybe this is a sign that you should try another employer? Hoping your CPNE experience is positive.

You'll nail it this time.

Good you have a sense of humor. It would be awful not to, huh!

WOW! That was quick, They are still processing my new application. But, I haven't called them yet to see if I can get a cancellation date. I decided to take a short break to do my spring cleaning, almost done, so I will start hounding them next week for a cancellation date. Congrats on the new date and good luck!!
