BA to ADN to MSN- Opinion?

I recently graduated from the UC system with a BA in Psychology. I want to be a RN and also get my MSN. I've been doing a lot of research but now I'm confused about my options. I want to work ASAP and I would prefer going the cheaper route. Long story short, I have not taken any of the pre-req science courses and I had a graduating gpa of 2.4 for my BA (so I feel the ABSN route is already out for me)

Is BA>ADN>MSN the most practical option for me? How does that work exactly?

I've read a lot about how this route is harmful and will put me at a disadvantage when applying for jobs.

What are some other options besides BA>ABSN>MSN?

Thanks for your help!! :redbeathe

P.S. I currently live in California but would like to move to Illinois for my schooling, what are some schools to look into for both ADN and MSN. Should I do ADN in CA and MSN in Illinois?
