Azusa Pacific University (APU) LVN to BSN Spring 2024

Published

I was searching and didn't find any new thread so I will go first. Getting ready to submit my application as the deadline is Oct 1 . My location choice will be Monrovia. This will be my first time applying. I am super nervous for the personal statement as I heard it is a big influence on acceptance. Good luck. Everyone

Specializes in residential care/AL/SN.

Hi @NurseJanetD,

I also applied and chose the Monrovia campus as well. I think I'll withdraw my application because I was recently accepted to PCCs Lvn to RN career ladder for Spring 2024. Part of me wants to know if I will get accepted here or not?

I also applied to the Monrovia campus. This is my second time, I was waitlisted last term & never received a spot ? my stats are good and I think my statement is well written, but I'm not an LVN so I kind of feel like that's why I was waitlisted. I am in a CNA program right now so I hope that helps my application this time.

Congratulations on the other acceptance!  I mean price is wise it sounds like a very good program but I previously read APU is better for connections and obviously because you get your BSN. I say keep your application and do some research before your final decision. My current company just highers RN with BSN or MSN so I really want to get a BSN . Im pension base so I would hate to lose that.

Stay positive I believe working as a CNA still has a huge impact  did you redo your personal statement?

Thank you ?? I didn't fully redo it, I just added a few sentences letting them know I'm in a CNA program. It sucks that waitlisted applicants don't get priority for the next time :(

Just got an email today stating " application sent to the School of Nursing for admissions consideration. There will be an update with an admissions decision sometime in either November or December.” So the waiting game begins .

Hi!
I also applied to the Spring 2024 Lvn-RN program. Has anyone heard back from them yet?
they said between Nov/Dec.

Hi Nancy

I logged in to my account and the decision letter was there, I was denied admission.

Hi Angelica they usually say 4-6 weeks from deadline! It does feel longer than that LOL . This round I also applied for MSMU as they both had the same deadline February 1st.
