Awaiting board decision

I had a complaint sent to the board that I had incorrectly completed refills for various patients. All refills were for birth control nothing controlled. This occurred while the NP I always worked for was on maternity leave the doctor covering made the complaint. She has talked to the board on my behalf stating that I did the refills as she had taught me 2 1/2 Years ago. My question is I am applying for jobs how do I discuss this with possible new employees especially since I don't have a final decision from the board yet.

Sorry you're having to deal with this. Nursing Boards move about as fast as molasses in January, so hang in there. As far as discussing the issue with prospective employers, all you can tell them is that there is a complaint about you pending before the Board and you will tell them the Board's decision as soon as you get it. Don't put off telling them, because if the Board takes some action that affects your practice (needing supervision in passing or ordering meds, for example) they will probably be a bit miffed that you weren't completely honest with them. Hopefully the Board will hurry up and let you off the hot seat. Good luck!
