Is anyone out there who is in the ADN program at Austin community college? I just received my acceptance letter & asking to choose from the three campuses & i'm not sure which one to put as my first choice CEC or EVC. Any advise????

I went to CEC and loved it and the instructors! You def have way more perks going there than an ACC campus too. I graduated in May 2013 though but still highly recommend CEC over any other ADN campuses with ACC! Good luck and congrats!! ?
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. That definitely makes me feel much better because i put CEC as my first choice. I was doubting myself for a minute. Congrats on your accomplishment. Do you have any advise for a new nursing student like me? By the way I may come back here and ask you for more advise in the future. Thanks again.
I'm so sorry prettyup for taking a while to get back to you (been a little preoccupied the last week).
Thanks so much and to you as well ~ I'll never forget how excited I was to finally start the actual program (all the pre-reqs took up so much time, that I felt like I'd never start the program!) You've worked very hard to get where you are now and you should be so proud!
CEC has a ton of perks compared to the other campuses and I wouldn't have done it any differently if I had to choose again! It is incredibly refreshing to be in that educational atmosphere vs the ACC campus ~ you'll know instantly what I mean on that 1st day if you don't already! You also get V.I.P access to the library there, unlike other students at other campuses ~ only CEC-ers are allowed to use it. (Oh, and you'll definitely enjoy all the nice eye candy there with all those pre-med students, lol!) The lab is much more up-to-date than any of the other campuses and only CEC-ers (once again) have access to it. And what's super cool is that you guys can still use any campuses, besides CEC, if you need to use their lab or libraries! There's been many nights where a few of us would bring a pillow and blanket and camp out all night in a private study room at the CEC library, ha! So it's awesome that you have that luxury too! As far as when I was there, I couldn't have asked for better instructors ~ granted, there was one that I still think had it out for me, but she was adjunct faculty for clinical, not one of instructional teachers. I've heard there's some new instructors since I graduated, but I know for sure there's a good handful still there that I'm close with still to this day!
Whew! So, that's a little summary to hopefully help calm your nerves, lol! When do you find out which campus you're at officially? I take it you'll start in Jan? I'd be honored to share as much as you'd like to hear and you're more than welcome to message me anytime! Is there anything in particular that you would like advice on? There's so much I could say... I should just write a book, lol!
Until next time ~ blessings!
loooool thank you so much 1KoolRN you definitely helped my nerves to calm way down. I should tell ya that i'm like a little scarey cat. i freak out for every little things. Anyways i just found out that i'm assigned at CEC & i'm very excited about it. I know we are not allow to mention anyone's name here but do you know instructor her initial is AA and a guy his initial is TR? again you are awesome but don't get annoyed with me, if i ask one too many questions. I always to try to get ahead by finding every & any info that i can get from the people who already went through this road. I appreciate all your advise.

Hello, lol I just found this thread and hope someone can answer back. Ill be entering the program next spring and picked CEC as my first choice. Can anyone tell me about clinicals? Like which hospital CEC students got and how it went? Did you have clinicals with your classmates or where you all assigned different times?
