Hi all. I'm currently an LPN in Missouri and in an RN bridge program. I have plans to move south once I complete my RN and am particularly interested in the Austin area. I'm curious about a few things...
1) What is the pay like for a new RN grad. (And apartment cost?)
2) What are nurse: patient ratios like?? (I'm a night shifter) and are CNT's utilized?
3) What are the reputable hospitals that people actually like working at, where they actually put time into developing new grads??
As an LPN I have 8 months experience in LTC and a year and a half in Med/Surg. I'd kinda like to branch out once I have my RN....maybe a Step-Down/ICU or Sub Acute unit.
Any other information that you think would be helpful would be greatly appreciated!
