Hello everyone :) Like many of you, I am a new grad RN (BSN). Since before I started nursing school, I knew I had a passion for working with psychiatric patients- I was a psych major in college before I switched to nursing.
I was wondering if any of you have had experience with Aurora- Is it a good facility to work for? How is the staff/team environment? Is it a relatively safe environment for patients and staff? Are the patients well cared for? Is management supportive of the staff? What is the RN starting salary?
I looked for patient reviews online and found very mixed reviews. Some claimed that they experienced excellent service, others that it was a nightmare.
Any information or experiences you could share with me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know someone who temps there on occasion. They won't hire him though. He never said it was a bad place and the people he worked with were okay. I had heard they just hired a bunch of new people and weren't taking anyone else, but who knows. I think I also heard they have a high turn-over. I know nothing else about them and that is all second-hand info.
