Augusta University (AU) MSN-CNL Fall 2025

Published

Hi everyone,

Didn't see a thread for this yet so I figured I could start one. I applied back in mid-November after the early consideration deadline and I'm waiting for my last couple of pre-req grades to be included in my final transcripts for this semester. Best of luck to everybody!

Hi!!

OMG, I'm so glad you made a thread! I applied late October. Currently anxiously checking my email every hour of the day, LOL! Best of luck to you as well and everyone else!!

Hey Everyone!

Just coming to give an update but I was accepted yesterday December 16th for Fall 2025 admission!! I applied October 29th of this year, but if anyone wants to know my stats or has any questions about my app, I do not mind sharing anything at all! I wish you all the best! Keep God first and know that everything will work out fine!!

Woop Woop! Congratulations! I just submitted my updated transcript for the prereqs I took for the semester that just ended so I hope I hear back soon.

Would love to hear your stats (GPA, pre-req GPA, clinical experience etc)! Are you applying to other programs as well? If so is AU high on your list? Also was Augusta or Athens your top choice for campus?

Thank you so much, and AHHH that's so exciting, I'm sure you will get in!! As far as stats, I attended The University of Georgia for undergrad and I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a 3.6 GPA this year, I'm not super sure of my exact pre-req GPA because its been a minute since I calculated it but I have one pre-req I am still in the process of taking but for all of the other ones I had all A's and one B (hopefully that helps in terms of what I got in them grade wise). I did not have any true clinical experience but I did participate in a few health clubs in college, served as a peer learning assistant for Anatomy and Physiology, shadowed a nurse practitioner for a day (which I believe is not needed at all), and I currently work at Optim Orthopedics (which I just started in September). So, honestly I didn't have a ton of experience in the healthcare field, but I definitely feel that working at Optim Ortho at the moment helped a lot with my app because I was able to write on my current interactions with patients in a clinical setting. AU was actually the only program I was interested in besides The University of South Carolina's MEPN program, but because AU's program just fit better for me, it was my top choice! So I definitely plan on attending, I also will be at the Augusta campus despite going to UGA and Athens having a campus just because I wanted to be at the bigger campus LOL, but again you totally got this and I wish you the best of luck!!

Amazing, thanks so much for sharing! And congrats on graduating from UGA! Sounds like you had a super competitive application (and obviously, since you got in so quickly!) Would you mind sharing what the different "status" changes were until it was eventually "accepted"? I've been sitting on "verified" for some time now. And that makes sense about Augusta, seems like a lovely campus.

I'm hoping for Athens, since I already live here (and have a house here) and commuting to Augusta would be challenging. I'm a non-traditional student (graduated with my bachelors over a decade ago), and my undergrad GPA wasn't that great (~3.2), but I'm hoping that having a pre-req GPA of 3.7, plus being fluent in Spanish, along with having professional public health (non-clinical) experience will be enough! Fingers crossed!

Thank you so much and I'm not on the admissions committee but you sound very qualified to me LOL! I feel like you will have no problem getting in with your stats! That's awesome that you have a house in Athens, its a really great place! The inside of the Athens campus is nice too, so I'm sure you will love it! I would also recommend checking your actual Augusta applicant status portal rather than NursingCas because my NursingCas still has not changed from saying verified but your Augusta one will as soon as they make a decision. For mine once they gave me a decision it showed there was a status update at the top of the page and you can click where it says "view update" and that should be where you see your decision letter. I also checked mine like everyday LOL and I didn't see any change on my screen for Augusta until they actually posted my decision. I also just checked to see if my NursingCas status changed and it still says "verified" LOL so def keep watch on your Augusta one! But you totally got this, best of luck!!

I submitted my application on 10/29. My transcripts somehow got lost and I had to call  NursingCAS on 12/20, only then did my transcripts and application become fully verified. I found out on 1/22 that I was accepted, for the Augusta Campus. I am still considering whether I should go there or KSU for their ABSN, or Emory for their MN. What have you all heard about Augusta's MSN-CNL?

So updating here: I applied and was verified back on November 6th. Then my last two prerequisite grades were added and I was re-verified on December 17th, and today (January 30th) I received my acceptance letter for the Athens Campus!

Thank you!! I guess the admissions committee agreed with you! Best of luck in Augusta!

Anyone still waiting to hear? I submitted everything on Feb 9th and my application still says "submitted". The director emailed me asking for current grades in my pre-reqs I am currently enrolled in, but nothing else.
