I'm considering going to a smaller college for my adn to bsn because it's cheaper. I eventually want to get my masters but was wondering if going to the larger university (which has the masters program I want to get into) will help me (even in the slightest of ways) get into the masters program there. Obviously good grades etc etc will help.

It may or may not. The benefit to attending the university is that they would know you and different professors who are well known there could potentially recommend you for a position in their masters program. At my university, our professors told us that if we have a GPA below 3.3 (GPA above 3.3 is required for admission) then it wouldn't matter as much because they know us and would recommend us based on merit. However, students with a GPA below 3.3 who did not attend there were less likely to be admitted. It may benefit you to call and ask how many students apply and are accepted into their masters program. If it is very difficult to get accepted then I would recommend attending the university... Although, it would honestly come down to the cost of each program for me. Hope this helps!
Thank you!!!!
