Hello~

I'm a senior nursing student graduating in May. Most of my classmates are interviewing/accepting jobs right now. I'm interested in working at WFBH in an ICU, specifically Trauma, or MICU, or CVICU, or SICU. However, I've noticed that WFBH is slow on putting out new grad jobs.

If you started out at WFBH as a new grad, when did you apply/hear back about your position? I applied for a position two weeks ago and have yet to hear anything back. Is this a bad sign? Is it super difficult to get a new grad ICU position at WFBH?

Thank you for your time/consideration,

-An anxious senior

Hi, im a 2024 graduate and was just following up with you to see if you ended up working for atrium? If so do you recommend it for new grads.

Hi! I did not, I couldn't get an interview unfortunately :/ I would say if you're interested in ICU it's a great place to work. If you're interested in CTICU specifically, go to Duke! If you want to try out every ICU, go to Novant they allow you to rotate through neuro, medical, and cardiac. If you want to go to grad school, go to a bigger hospital for higher acuity.

Okay, thank you I interviewed for Novant already and got offered intermediate ICU, L&D and ER. So I been debating on if I should try other options being that it was offered in Winston instead of clt

hi there, May grad here. I interviewed and accepted a cvicu position in December 2023. I didn't think it was incredibly difficult and management and recruitment at Wake Forest were amazing.

Congratulations on your offer! If you don't mind me asking what is their starting pay?  I have an interview next week for their oncology unit.
