Atrium Health New Grad RN Residency

Hi! I created this forum to see if anyone has heard back from Atrium Health New Grad Residency for any of the specialities in the Charlotte market? Also, if anyone has any advice or knows about the process at atrium health for new grad nurses that would be great!

Hi! I applied to Atrium my first application was in December (before I passed the NCLEX) and second application was early January (after I passed NCLEX). I applied to Periop residency and still waiting to hear back. My dashboard has been updated though and currently says "under consideration". Not exactly sure what this means, but for reference I went to school in FL so I am wondering if they are trying to hire new grads from NC first. I did read in another thread though that they started Periop interviews January 10th, but I still have not received an interview.

Hi! I also applied to Periop and I am fro NC but my also says "under consideration". I also saw that thread but I heard that it sometimes takes them two months to get to applications.

Hi! I also read that as well. Still trying to remain hopeful, maybe they just take awhile to reach out. Do you know if Periop is very popular among new grads in NC? Out of my whole nursing school cohort in FL I was the only person interested in Periop LOL. Also, I do feel that I may be at a slight disadvantage since the school I went to did not allow us to precept in the OR my final semester.

There's definitely still hope! Yeah LOL I didn't think Periop was very popular but I am not sure if it is in NC. I know for my nursing cohort there is only one person as well. But I hope you get the area you want!

Hi, did you ever get called for an interview for periop?
