If it's the Science portion that pulled you down, I can tell you that there's truly no way to study for it.....unless you're a stinking chemistry major!
I used both the ATI study manual AND McGraw Hill study guide (which helped alot MORE than the ATI guide!) I did, in fact, pass but could've made MUCH higher if it hadnt been for the Science portion.
I used ONLY the online ATI practice tests. I tried the study books but they just put me to sleep. The practice tests really helped and many if the same questions were on the actual test, just worded a little differently. Oh, and I got the highest grade in my class on the ATI - a 92% - and I'm not a great test taker. For me, it's not about the content - I know the content - it's about the way the questions and answers are presented. Using the practice tests allowed me to develop my own personal strategies. I suggest taking the tests as many times as you can and buy as many of them as possible if your school doesn't include them in your tuition (mine does).
Good luck!

Oh, they're definitely worded differently. I bought BOTH online practice tests & did better on the actual text than online. I saw MAYBE 2 repeat questions on my exam. Congrats on the 92%!!

Really...I saw at least 4 that were worded similarly and many others were similar as well just different. The thing with ATI is that they LOVE to trick you with numbers - especially when it comes to F&E. On my various ATI tests, I've found that many times the answer that gives you a definite range is usually incorrect. Just from my experience though. My school is an ATI school and we take practice tests, unit tests, midterm tests, finals that are all through ATI. I don't like it, but it helps when you know what to expect. I'm hoping it really helps when it comes to the NCLEX - all the students in my program passed the NCLEX on the first try last year.
