Army HPSP scholarship

Just looking for some experience as to how hard it is to receive the Army's HPSP scholarship for NP? I talked to a recruiter briefly, but she basically told me to check back in May or June to begin the application process as the selection board isn't again until next November. I already have 1 semester of FNP school finished and will have 1 year under my belt when the selection board meets, meaning they'd only have to pay for 1.5 years, which she also said puts me at an advantage. If I can also keep my 4.0 for the next 2 semesters that will be a plus. Any insight on how to get selected or anything I can do to increase my chances? Also what the selection process was like?
