Are any of you working as a CNL?

That's a Clinical Nurse Leader, a topic I know that has been discussed here before. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out the AACN web site.

I really can't decide between the CNS and CNL roles. Both involve elements important to me---leadership, research, education. I know CNLs do more patient care/physical assessment, but I think the CNS does more research (and is more specialized).

I know people have varying opinions about both the CNL and graduate nursing education (including my own program)...but, sorry, I'm really not interested in these things. I just want to know what people working in the CNL role actually do.
