Does your nursing curriculum include a class about self-care, or something related to that? Is it required or elective?

No self-care course in my program, but it the importance of self-care was talked about frequently through out the curriculum. Our student health center also provided a lot of options for self-care including meditation groups, aural acupuncture for stress, yoga etc at the SON during the lunch hour.

We did not, and I would be very unhappy if I was forced to. I would not want to pay $1000 for a course that's telling me to practice yoga, deep breathe, and have outside hobbies, etc.
Like PP mentioned, it's sprinkled here and there, as well as the dangers of our increased risk for drug and alcohol abuse.
However, I think it would be an excellent group (small) project for a class. Providing research into our risk, as well as self care techniques. Also, my university gym program offered mental health activities during finals week. Ex: yoga at the local animal shelter, glow in the dark yoga in the Olympic pool (I did that one!), etc.
