Are there any questions you can ask before applying to nursing school?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

hi everyone i am going to apply to nursing school next semester. i am going to take the NLN as well as the HESI. i know what top nursing schools i want to attend but there are schools that i am undecided. i have orientations to go to for there nursing programs and i really need your help. Are there any question i can ask the director/ coordinator of the program. i only came up with

"Besides looking at NLN scores and GPA do you look at volunteer experience and can volunteering make my application stronger?".

if you can please help me come up with more questions regarding program, clinical experience, time ,money etc and how to phrase the question . i want to ask intelligent questions that can further help me what nursing program i want to attend. Thanks so much

I don't have a particular question for you to ask, just the suggestion that you check out their websites before the orientations. That might give you some ideas and will keep you from asking something that they have posted prominently and will be annoyed to have to answer. I found almost all the program imfo online about most of the schools I'm applying to so after reading it I had only very specific questions left. Hope this was helpful. Good luck in your search for the right school. If this sounds like a very "duh, common sense" suggestion please forgive me but there were very few people who had seemed to do that at the orientation I attended and the Nursing Director seemed irritated by all the questions that a tiny amount of interest and research about the program would have answered.
