Are there any LPN to RN programs in CT?

Hello all,

This is my first post so go easy on me lol! I am currently doing pre-nursing prerequisites at Goodwin College, but the school is quite far for me and it’s taking too long (I want to get a job as soon as possible) so I decided to go with Lincoln Tech for their LPN program for the spring. I keep hearing conflicting stories- that after graduating as an LPN and passing the NCLEX-PN, that you can join any LPN to RN program and become an RN in less time than just starting from scratch. Yet, I have also heard that Lincoln Tech credits do not transfer to any LPN to RN program and you would have to start RN from scratch anyway?

Which is true and why is it so difficult to find straight answers for all of these programs? If anyone has any insight I would appreciate it SO much. Thank you friends ❤️

Yes you would have to take all the prerequisites anyways because the credits taken within the lpn program are not actually college credits that can earn a degree/ rn license. After taking the prerequisites you may or may not be accepted into the third year they may place you into the first year if you are eligible.
