Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
I just came home from yet another interview and am extremely disappointed. I really feel like I made the wrong choice with nursing and couldn't be more discouraged. I just finished a highly regarded accelerated BSN program in my area and can not get a job in any area. I've applied to federal, state (including health departments), and private (hospitals and all jobs who require no/minimal experience) positions with no real bites. I understand that I'll have to take what I can get. I'm applying to everything within 70 miles of my home and considering going further. I'm willing to do anything. Does anyone have any tips for Northern Va job searches?

Are you applying in DC, too? I live in NoVA, and I have gotten 2 interviews for new grad RN residency/ programs (and 1 job so far), both in DC. It's about 20 miles, roughly, to either hospital from my house. I know that 20 miles can potentially take forever, based on traffic, but given that there is public transportation as an option, it totally workable.
I've applied to one hospital in DC and I'm looking into more. Can I ask which hospital you got lucky with? You can pm me if you don't want to post it.
