Hi all!

My name is Erin. I'm in my first year of a DNP program at the University of Missouri- Columbia. We have to interview several APRNs for a paper. I was hoping someone here would be willing to help out! I know it's asking a lot for a stranger but I would greatly appreciate it!

1) From which school did you get your DNP or PHD? What yeardid you begin? What year did you graduate? What did you think about the programand its curriculum? What did you feel was missing? What did you feel wasspot-on? Briefly discuss how your pharmacology preparation. Briefly discussyour physical assessment preparation. Briefly discuss your pathophysiologypreparation.

2) How does the APRN Consensus Model guide your practice? Doyou feel that the laws in your state allow the greatest number of people toaccess healthcare? If not, what do you feel could be done differently?

3) What are some of the competencies required for your work?Can you discuss an example of something you were prepared, trained, andcompetent to do but were not allowed to perform?

4) How do you collaborate with others in your role (Othernurses and/or other disciplines)? What strategies do you use to promoteeffective collaboration? What do you feel are barriers to collaboration youhave seen? Were you able to overcome them? If not, please discuss why you thinkthis was. If so, please discuss how you overcame them.

5) Please describe how you transitioned from student to therole you are in now. What are some challenges you encountered? What advice doyou wish you would have had? What kind of stressors did you experience in yourrole transition? What coping strategies have you found helpful? What advicewould you give someone about to transition from student into your role?
