Anybody applied and/or gotten into CU Denver's FNP program. I applied for Fall 2010 and would love to hear what people think...I know it's super competitive, but I am hoping for the best:) I already attend Regis University FNP program, but would like to transfer for a couple of reasons. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!:smokin:

It is a very difficult school to get into. One of the top 10 in FNP according to is it US News? Anyway, It is a school that you will not likely be able to work full time or much at all. They tell you that straight out. I got in, and attended a few classes, but I need to work. So I am going to Regis with the every other weekend classes which works for me.

Why don't you send me a private message or email as to why you are wanting to get into another program rather than stay in Regis?

Best of luck whatever you do.

Have you visited UC denver? Im really wanting to go to school there and wanting to know what other people thought about it. Why didn't you like regis?

I don't know how to send an email, so the quick and dirty about Regis is that I do not feel like I am getting the proper education and training there. Also, you set up your own clinicals which has been a nightmare for some people....not so bad for others. An additional reason is that CU has offers there classes on a tri semester basis and Regis only is annual. I did not do clinical this year because my mom passed away, and the clinical that I had set up fell through, and with no support from Regis in finding clinicals...I am now a year behind. So I applied to CU, but I have not idea whether I will get in or not. I just wanted to keep my options open. Hope that helps! Regis is way easier and more accomadating for a busy person like yourself. If you good at self teaching, then you will be fine.

Hey, came across your post and just wanted a few information on Regis. I am currently waiting for acceptance but very nervous about the program. Did you continue or did you transfer? If you continued, how was is?
