where to apply to A-BSN?

Published

Hello, I'm brand new here. I will be graduating this spring with a child development major and I want to apply to an accelerated BSN program.

My first year of college, I did very poorly and I have been paying for it. It was partly due to some justifiable reasons which may or may not matter. I have a 3.6 GPA at the school I am currently enrolled in (and will be graduating from) but my overall is 2.8. However, this semester I'm taking 20 units, which I believe will be all A's, and next semester I'm taking 25, which I also anticipate getting A's, so that should help.

I was going to apply to the BSN program at my school, but they are possibly closing due to funding, losing their accreditation, and other problems, so I decided to graduate and go elsewhere.

I need to figure out what I'm going to do next year as deadlines are FAST approaching! I plan on applying to some RN programs but I would LOVE to do an accelerated BSN program. The only problem is, I have no idea where to start. I'm so overwhelmed. I'm willing to go ANYWHERE that will accept me! Are there any less competitive accelerated BSN programs that I could apply to? I have some experience and volunteer work and I can get GREAT recommendations from the doctors and nurses that I work with.

If anyone could just narrow the list a bit for me, I would be ever so grateful!!!

I would also love to know about any RN programs that don't have a waiting list a mile long!!

Thank you so much for reading!!

I don't know where you're located but you can check here to find ABSN programs by state: Accelerated BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Programs

I'm in California but like I said, I'm willing to go ANYWHERE that I can get in. Mostly I'm trying to narrow it down to schools that don't have high GPA requirements.

Well that list should help you. Don't look at NJ, because all of them require a minimum of 3.0 GPA.

Good luck on your search.
