Application deadline extension

Hello- I applied for a BSN school a few months ago whose application deadline at the time was 6/1/22. Today I just found out that they extended their deadline to 7/1/22. I was a little disappointed because I was hoping to hear back by July but now with the extended deadline, we wouldn't hear back until likely August. If you experienced this, do you mind sharing if you were given a reason for the extension? I am probably just thinking too much, but could it be that the school isn't getting enough applicants which speaks for the reputation of the school?
