Anyone's opinion on if I am ready for boards!!?? Please! :)

Published

Hello everyone so I graduated last weekend with my BSN and have been studying quite a bit for boards, but now I am more anxious and nervous waiting for my ATT. I did ATI throughout my school and scored a 73.3 on the ATI predictor. I have also used ATI virtual tutor and have gotten the "green light" from them to to take the exam. I am also taking the kaplan review class this week which I really enjoy. However, I just took the readiness exam and only scored a 63% and am starting to become more anxious. It is going to probably be two or three more weeks before I test and plan to start studying more content and finish the Qtrainers along with the Qbank. Do you think I am ready to take this exam. I really need to pass the first time, because I have a job waiting for me and counting on me passing the first time... Any advice is appreciated! Good luck with everyone in their adventures as well.

Here's what I had to tell myself... The average pass rate for the first attempt is 90% (you can look it up on the NCSBN website). The average first-time pass rate at my school is 98% (check out yours). Your ATI predictor is ___% likely to pass on the first try. According to the previous post...your readiness score means you're 94% likely to pass....right?

All of that info likely means you'll pass the first try, but don't let it give you a big head. Spend some time (how much is at your discretion) studying your NCLEX resources. And stay positive, you can do this!!

I graduated May 4th with my ASN, had a 98% probabilty of passing on the first try from ATI, studied for 2 weeks (using NCSBN, Saunders 5th ed, and the ATI app on my phone) took the NCLEX yesterday and found out today that I passed. Not recommending a short study period for everyone, but I felt comfortable with it.

Good luck and CONGRATS on your graduation!!

I am going through the same process! I graduated last week, and am currently in the Anderson review course. Could you tell me a little bit more about the "ati predictor" I am unsure of what that is? Is it a sort of practice test?
