Has anyone on here been through or currently enrolled in the University of Alabama at Huntsville MSN program? I have been accepted into the Nursing Administration track. I would love to know how much time is really required each week (in hours) to do well in this program. Any details you can share would be appreciated. TIA

I am looking at this program as well. Do you like it? How time consuming is it? I work full time in quality and want to know if it is flexible.
Hi Jwoeber,
It depends on the class. I am in the accelerated track that is two classes at a time to be completed in one year. I also work full time. The first two classes were completely doable. The second set of classes that are paired together have the most work in the program. They said they are going to work on this for the next set of students going through. It is a good amount of work but it can be done. There's also the option to do it in 20 months. I just wanted to get it over with. Hope this helps!
Hello!
I wanted to follow up on how you like the program? I am applying for 2020 fall and would like to do the accelerated track and continue to work. Would you still agree that it is manageable? How has the clinical requirements been? I wasn't sure if I would be able to stay at my position in quality improvement during clinical.
Thank you for your input I greatly appreciate it!
Hi Jennifer,
I currently work full-time in quality, risk management, and patient safety. I am doing the program on the accelerated track and I currently have a 4.0. If you are motivated you can do it! The trick with the clinical part for 105 hours in the last class you will need to have a preceptor that will allow you to follow them that holds a master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration. That has been the most challenging part.
Good luck to you!
