I'm thinking about RN or RT. I have heard about this program and it is expensive so I would like to know something from someone that has been taking this program or have done it. How is it? Do they offer a job after graduate? Is it difficult to find the job? RN or RT pay better?

I'm not quite sure exactly where you live so my opinion may differ. But this is the market in Southern California...
-RNs and RTs/RCPs can make the same amount of money based on experience and location. But, RNs generally make a bit more.
-Some places do not have many positions for RTs, as Physicians and RNs cover the jobs that RTs in other states may fulfill. Keep this in mind if considering moving to other states in the future.
-The job market for RNs is waaaaay better than for RTs because in most area there is just a plain high demand for RNs
-RTs travel aaround the hospital from patient to patient while nurses are generally taking care of their assigned rooms/patients for the day, week, etc.
This is just my observation in my area. My husband is considering Respiratory therapy so I've been keeping my eye out as much as possible. I hope it helps your journey.
thank awhisler for your advice. I think I'll finish pre-regs and after that I might be able to make the decision that which one I would like to be. Once thing that I don't like about RN is the waiting list. I wonder, RT have waiting list too? Do you have any information about Kaiser Permanente School in Richmond CA?
No idea about the Kaiser school. Not all schools have waiting lists. I applied for community college RN prog and my BNS prog at the same time and got into both on the first try. But, I know Northern California is incredibly hard to get into anywhere! There are only a few RT programs in all of California that are accredited. Check this website.
www.coarc.com for what schools are out there.
My university had a bachelors program for Respiratory therapy but my husband is looking toward concorde career college because they have a 1 year AS program with no wait list. This might he a good idea for you if you don't want to bother with wait lists.
