Good day:
Haven taking A&P 1, and now taking A&P 2, I would not recommend them at the same time. There are foundational concepts, processes, ideas, vocabulary, structures, functions, et al you have to master from A&P 1 to do well in A&P 2. While it probably can be done, if you need to keep your GPA high, I would not recommend it. If you have to bundle up science courses, after you take A&P 1, then maybe Microbiology and A&P II.
Thank you.
Just like @LL143KnB said A&P 1 is a pre-req for A&P 2. Usually it is not possible to take them concurrently. The only way it might be possible is you make an appointment with the head of the science department at your CC, and plead to take them together. But I highly doubt he approving it unless you can really prove that you will be successful doing both at the same time. My advice would be take your time. Your science pre-req grade is important, so don't jeopardize it. I know how you feel about waiting to start a program. I'm starting my second semester and I can't wait to apply to programs. I hope this helped. And Best of Luck to you!!!!!!!!
Well I don't recommend taking A&P 1 and II together I did take A&P and Micro together there was a lot of info but it was not problem. If your getting into a competitive nursing program grades are everything. I would recommend as hard as it is to wait another semester to get good grades over getting it done faster. What you learn in those pre-req classes you will need to build on them for nursing.
I took A&P I more than 10 years ago should I take it again to refresh my memory? I just finished is her an Associate in General Studies and only need the Anatomy & Microbiologist. Any suggestions? Anyone has taken the entry test?
I would speak with the school that you plan on applying to. Most will not accept any science courses that were taken over 5 years.
My school offers an A&P I squeezed into the first half of the semester and A&P II squeezed into the second half. You learn the same amount of information as you would if it were taught in two different semesters. If you have the time and don't have any other tough classes or work, then it's doable.
