i just got my acceptance letter for LPN school today. i'm going to be attending the Miami Valley CTC LPN class beginning in Jan 06.

i have so much to do and only 4 more months to get it done. ihave to get my cpr, cna, abd all my blood titers drawn. and fill out my student loan stuff.

then in Dec i'm required to take a Med/Math and Terminoligy course which is crammed into 2 WEEKs only! AND our school requires no lower than an 80% or you are OUT no questions asked!

wheww...lots to do hope someone out there is with me!

The school I go to only has a fall LPN program. I won't find out until next summer whether or not I get in the Fall 2006 program. I SHOULD because I'm taking my last 2 pre-reqs this semseter.

good luck! i hope you get in!

I graduated from Miami Valley CTC's Practical Nurse Program in June 2005. It is a good program with some wonderful instructors. The 2 week math & medical terms course is important and will help you greatly as the school year progresses. If you want to pass the program which I'm sure you do just follow these five simple guidelines : #1 . Pay attention in class. #2. Be prepared and when possible try to skim through topic matters the day before they are covered in class. #3. If you don't understand something just ask for addition help or clarification (the instructors are always willing to help.) #4. Take good notes (if you take good and accurate notes during class you will find most all of your test answers are in the notes which makes studying for the tests easier. and #5. Relax. You can't think clearly or understand anything if you are too nervous (too many wonderful people failed their tests simply because they got too nervous and couldn't think clearly.
