does anyone know what "LOS" stands for?

I'm currently writing a paper about mechanical ventilation and sedation protocols. I'm critiquing an article that talks about ventilator LOS. Can someone please tell me what this means? I'm not sure if it means "length of stay" or "length of sedation".
