Anyone know about the alternate situation for CSU Long Beach's program?

Published

Hey everyone,

So CSULB is one of my top choices right now. I have a few schools I'm heavily considering that I'm pretty sure I will get into. I was really hoping to at least have it as an option. However, CSULB emphasizes the math section of the TEAS V. I got a 91.3% overall, but tanked the math part at a 76.7% since I ran out of time. I have a 4.0, so my points add up to about 9.346. This is kind of below average for past nursing applicants according to their applicant pool info, and I know it only gets more competitive each year. Does anyone know if I would stand a chance as an alternate? How far down the alternate list do they usually get? I don't want to spend another 55 bucks (plus the boatloads of time and stress) to retake the TEAS again just for one school.

Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
