After browsing this site I see several nurses posted years ago about their interest in starting the masters holistic nursing program through Tennessee State. I'm interested in this and wondering, did anyone do it? Anyone have a masters in holistic nursing that can offer insight? Was it worth it?
Or anyone become an NP and go the holistic route successfully?
Any advice would be awesome.

What are your career goals? How do you envision yourself using the holistic master's degree? What benefits would it provide to you? Could you learn/practice without it? What job will you be able to get with this degree?
Before pursuing this (or any other master's degree), make sure that you are clear on the answers to those questions. Or as clear as you can be. We can never be fully certain of the direction that life with take us :) It looks like an interesting program, but I'm not sure that it would necessarily make you any more employable or qualified to work with people in a holistic role than other less expensive routes. I do know that it will not make you more employable in conventional health care roles. Most nurses that practice in holistic roles are entrepreneurs. Building a holistic practice can be very challenging and entrepreneurship isn't for everyone. It would be really tough to rack up the student loans and then figure out that you can't pay those loans through your holistic practice. Not to be a downer, but it's definitely something you need to consider.
