anyone been hired part time job in area w/ no exp?

hi, I have been an ICU RN for several years. I want to apply for a couple of part time OR & PACU positions (the jobs I'm looking at are asking for 20-24 hours per week) but I don't know if it is realistic to expect to get a job offer for a p.t. position when I don't have experience in either of those specialties (since the training would have to be longer than for someone with experience, might not be worth it for someone who will only work p.t.). Basically, I'm wondering if anyone ever gotten a p.t. job in a specialty area with no experience?
