what type of program is this
LVN to RN bridge program. Basically you have a license as a licensed vocational nurse going for your RN license. 15 month program. Dallas community college (Elcentro)
babyblue_75, LVN
Was it hard getting into the LVN to RN program at el centro? I want to apply to the spring 2014 program.
Not at all. I filed as a late applicant, due to finishing up summer 2 core classes. Its not as competitive as you think. They take 20 students a semester after passing the skills check-off class and rank them. Make sure you keep in contact with Pam Farley for follow ups and have your paperwork in order. Good luck to yah. Any other questions, feel free to ask.
Thank you for responding bhua32877! I have 2 core classes left. I'm taking microbiology this semester and a&p II in the summer...how was the skills check off? I read on the application that you have to pass a math test also. How was that?...thank you the advice. Can you keep us informed on the program? I would like to know what the program is like (as a heads up).
Does it matter what kind of LVN experience you have in order to apply to the program?
