Let me explain. I love nursing. That's not the problem. The problem is:
I took a job in a NICU at a bigger hospital 1 hour away because they helped me with money for school. I am in my third week and have come home crying every night. I recently found out that my fiance has some abnormalities in his brain and we are dealing with that. Is it normal in the first few weeks, months? I want to know would I be a horrible person if I switched to something like newborn nursery or tried to find another hospital closer to home to buy out my contract? I'm off today and all I can think about is how I wish I was closer to home and how I don't want to go to work tomorrow.
Please help!!!!!! :(

I think it is normal to be feeling the way you are, especially considering what you & your fiancee are going through. The only advice I could give is to go over the pros and cons of quitting/vs not quitting, write them down, think about it, and then make your decision. It sounds like you want to be closer to home to be more accesible/closer to your fiance should he need you, and that is totally understandable. Good luck to you. :icon_hug:
