Anyone else out there waiting to hear from McFatter Technical???

I'm losing my mind! I've completed everything I needed to in order to get into this LPN program @ McFatter and I had to be placed on a waiting list:angryfire!!! Classes start June 8 but there's still a waiting list, I went & spoke with the Dept Head (4/15/09) and she gave me the bad news. She did tell me though that I'm at the top of the waiting list & will be called if any of the 24 students who are before me don't complete their registration. I'm sooooo frustrated. I really want to get into nursing school and start my new career. Just wondering if anyone else is waiting anxiously like I am.

hi. yes, i feel your frustration. i passed the teas, got all my information together and now am on the same waiting list (might be my fault b/c i had to wait to take a night crp class). i was hoping to start june 8th also, which would mean i need to quite my job. i would love to know if i can start school. so patiently working and waiting to for may 8th to see if the school call. please let me know your thoughts, glad to see this thread. thank you j

Finally! someone else understands what I'm going through. ReadyCookie09 it's a pleasure to meet you, just not under these circumstances. I called to speak with the secretary of the medical office but I didn't get an answer and I didn't bother to leave a message. Friday seems so far away but once I know something I'll be relieved that way I'll know if I can go ahead and accept any job offers that come my way. I've been out of work since January. Have you attempted to call? Also, I can't recall if the next day class is Aug or Oct, do you know? I checked with Miami Dade to see when their next class starts and found out the deadline was yesterday for the Aug term! Mercy requires you to have your pre-req's done prior to entry and Sheridan definitely has nothing! Have you checked around to any other schools? Well, hope to hear from you soon and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you if you keep yours crossed for me :wink2:

I'm right there with you guys... except I will be a term 2 student if I can ever get in! I have enough credits from BC that I can skip term 1. As of right now, everyone is passing, so there is no room for me to transition in! They told me to check back again on June 4th to see if there is an opening for June 8th. GRR! Talk about last minute! My entrance folder is complete, and sadly enough, I'm just waiting for someone to fail and make room for me! On the plus side, I guess that means that the program is good and not a lot of people fail! Good Luck! :)
