I'm very interested in the LPN program starting in May 2012 at Tennessee Technology Center in Murfreesboro, TN. Of course I will need to take the Compass test before I'm accepted so I'm just in the beginning stages but I'd love some info on this nursing program. Has anyone in Murfreesboro, TN completed this program or almost completed it? If so what are your opinions about the school and the LPN program there? For Example, do you feel like the program was beneficial, did you enjoy the classes or did you find there is work available in Murfreesboro or surrounding areas for an LPN after you finished the program. Any info anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am in the beginning stages of applying for the LPN program. I will be taking the compass test on Nov. 11th. I am hoping to get a good enough score to be accepted. I talked to a lady while I was signing up for the compass test and she told me that they base the acceptance on the compass scores.
Hi Staceyney. I just took the Compass in late October. I passed the first part of the test very well but I have to retake the math portion. I need to score higher for the nursing program. I'll be retesting in January. I'm looking forward to starting the program here. Did you have a hard time finding a job when you first began your career as a cna? Good luck on the Compass in Nov. Hope you do great!
I live in Woodbury, Tn. Which is a small town that is about 20 minutes from Murfreesboro. There is only one nursing home in the County. So it wasn't that hard for me to find a job. I worked there for aobut 3 years. I left there to work at the VA hospital in Murfreesboro and I have been working here for 2 years now. I didn't have a hard time finding a job but I think the more expierence you have the easier it is.
Yeah it's pretty in Woodbury. Murfreesboro is getting so big and lots of traffic but it's a nice town. I live in North Murfreesboro & actually live really close to the V.A. I have some clients who work there. Thanks for sharing your info with me.

I was told that some kind of point system is used? Does anyone know about this? I just turned my application in today and she said that I should hear something in Mid-march.
