Anyone here attending school in Los Angeles?

I am taking prereqs at SMC and am hoping to enter an accelerated bsn program in the spring. (2nd degree).Unfortunately I am a newbie and scared too a bit so I don't have any inside scoops on the surrounding hospitals.

Hey all, I'm over at SMC. I was wondering if there was anyone from CSULA, UCLA, Mt. St. Mary's, or anywhere on my side of the hill. I have some questions about clinicals in the area, as we are going to be sent anywhere and everywhere it seems. I am scared about going to County and Brotman, and need some advice (okay, reassurance)!
Even if you're just taking pre-reqs, please post! I hardly see anyone from here on these boards...

I'm from LA, really the suburbs, about 40 miles north in ventura county. I'm currently taking pre-reqs to enter nursing school in fall 2005 (a BSN) program. As far as programs go, I've heard alot about MSMC's program and how great it is, especially from this site. I started the post in the California forum a few months ago; you can probably search for it on the site. I'm mainly focusing on out-of-state schools, but I've heard good things about Cal State Long Beach as well.

Hi there, I just moved to LA in May, and found out last week that I was accepted to the accelrated program at CSULB. I previously was going to school part time in Boston, MA but my boyfriend is in the Air Force, so he was stationed here and I followed.....

I am really excited but will have to quit my recently aquired full time job. Anyone at Cal State (any campus) and can offer any advice, etc. Sorry I don't have any words of wisdom to share just yet!
