do it, this will sound like a commercial: I told a friend of mine about nursing, i was doing my prerequisites, and i convinced her to go into nursing. She graduated high school, went to concorde, got her LVN, is now working for the owners of the richest healthcare companies in san diego. oh yea, they are paying for her to get her RN, that is of course when she's not in the hamptons or cabo with the family. Me, I will finally be done this year. Its taken me 5 years, it took her just under two. granted i have kids blah, blah, blah. My point is a nurse is a nurse, if you can afford it go to concorde.
I went there. I left after the first 3 months and chose not to return. It wasn't a horrible school but in hindsight it was totally overpriced. The teachers are nice enough but they treat everyone like elementary school students and it just gets old. If I had it to do over again, I'd skip trying to do the LVN step altogether. If you are set on going that route, though, I'd check into the LVN program at a local community college. Much cheaper option.
