:loveya:Hi I wanted to find out if anyone is applying to Oakton Community College for fall 2010? I am currently almost done with all my prereqs. i'm taking the cna course at samlands and hope to apply for the nursing program by the end of the december/beginning of january. I will be signing up for the nln thats scheduled at the end of jan2010. Anybody want to share their experience with the application process and their outlook on the nln? I wanted to know what to expect for the nln and the best way to study for this test, any advice or comment will be greatly appreciated. Also if u are already enrolled in the program what would you recommend to an prospective nursing student? :stdnrsrck:

I turned in my application for Fall 2010 a few weeks ago. I took the NLN test last June or July and I scored in the 98th percentile overall and 99th percentile for English--those are the two scores they look at. The NLN that writes the NLN test also publishes a book that is a study guide. They have it at Barnes and Noble. That is what I used to study. I am currently taking A&P1 and Chemistry 105. Hopefully, all will work out and we'll be classmates!
:clpty:CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NLN ACHIEVEMENT:balloons: Your are definitly going to get in the program.... hopefully I'll do good on my test as well and we can b classmates. I do have a lot of studying to do....especially since I am not so good at math and havent had a biology course in a few years. Wish me good luck!
