Anybody traveled to Florida?

Published

So I'm playing around with my next possible assignment in Florida. It would probably begin in early November, right in time for the weather to get cold. I hear that is the time Florida needs travelers. I'd be interested in being in the top half of Florida, closer to home for the holidays. My question is how difficult/long is it to get the licence? How is the usual pay packages for an ICU traveler there? What are the typical working conditions?

Thanks!

I don't know anything about pay or ICU as I'm just starting to find my first assignment, but I got my FL license in 9 days.

How did you get your licence so fast? I heard Florida was a lengthy licence process that could take up to 6-8 weeks?

Specializes in FNP.

I work for a fantastic hospital system in Clearwater if you're interested in coming down this way as a traveler.

Yeah that would be great and an ideal location. Do you mind PM me the details?

I heard it was, too, but it only took 9 days. South Carolina is a walk through and it took over 4 weeks for me to get that one.
