Forgive me if this is in the wrong forum - I wasn't sure whether to squeeze it in here or in Pulmonary...
I just did a job shadow in a split ICU/RICU floor and I absolutely LOVED it - I had shadowed on a few other floors before this (NICU and a med/surg) and this seems to be the one that calls to me the most.
What is similar... and different... about what a RICU nurse does vs. a MSICU nurse? (procedures and the like)
Thanks y'all. I had a wonderful time with the nurses on the floor and had more questions than my brain could fully process (and verbalize) in 4 hours

May I ask what a RICU is? If it gets somebody this excited-well than my curiosity is just running wild!

respiratory icu. the entire staff on the floor was really great, and i found it all to be very interesting. i hope i didn't just sound like a dork!
No-you did not sound dorky at all! I just love to know about everything out there because..well...I don't know why, I just do.
A RICU sounds so interesting! I wonder if any of the hospitals I will be doing clinical in will have one.
Thanks so much for sharing! I hope you find some others on here that have been there or currently work there so you can hear all about it!!!
