Its never to late to try an connect with other students that have applied to the 2012 Weatherford Community College LVN program . I applied and I am patiently waiting the arrival of the acceptance letter (fingers crossed). I was just wonderful how everyone else did on the COMPASS and how many points other applicants had. I threw my application together quickly because I was unaware that there was an LVN program that was close to where I lived. I truly hope I do get in :) I would love :redbeathe to hear from other WC applicants......the waiting games is killing me .

studentforlife,
Did you get in? How did you do on the COMPASS?
I am looking to apply for the WC LVN Fall 2012 program.
I didnt get in however I did get into another program that will give me points for next spring. I have reapplied for fall however the points are really high. I read the Q's and A's on WC Nursing page which stated 9 points is competitive however the points to get in were 12 to get in, 11 for alts. I was shocked! So, I didnt do any extra steps to get extra points ....lesson learned on my part. I did really well on the compass. They give you a few sites to help you prep for it. The reading is super easy and the math is pretty general as well. I would study for a while then take your test. You are allowed to take it 2 times in 6 months so that is helpful as well. Also, start applying to WC that way all your trans are there and you dont get delayed on that. Do you have any classes taken? A & P I, II or health? These give you points as well. Good Luck to you. If you have any more questions feel free to contact me.
No, I haven't completed my pre-reqs. My first A&P is over 5 years old. I have all my other core classes completed. I'm trying to decide if I should just finish my science pre-reqs and apply to a 4 year for my BSN. I believe it will take me a year if I just take one class at a time so I can focus on getting an A. I want to make a good decision…..I always have a hard time with which path to take. I started college in 2003 with the intention for Nursing but never applied.
Are you doing that Health Care program that gives an extra 3 points? Good Luck and I'm sure you will get in
