Any views on University of Central Florida @ Cocoa?

Hello everyone,

I'm new here but I'll do my best to be clear .... and concise.

I'm nearing the completion of my pre-reqs and anticipating my application in 6 more months - finally!

A study partner whose opinion I trust just started the AD nursing program at Brevard Community College @ Palm Bay. Her opinion so far is that the instructors are very disorganized and from moment to moment, she has no idea what's expected from her. I know her study habits from Bio, Micro, A&P so I believe what she's telling me. One of her fellow students had been enrolled in the program at UCF @ Cocoa and dropped out after one semester and is now enrolled at BCC. On numerous occasions, she has said "if you think this is disorganized / if you think this is bad ..... UCF was even worse!"

My friend has shared this with me and now I'm worried that possibly UCF would be a bad choice for me. I've been pleasantly surprised with the quality of professors at Brevard Community College. I went in not expecting much from a community college and have been pleasantly surprised at the knowledge, professionalism, organization, and desire to teach that I've experienced.

My goal has been admission into University of Central Florida because I already have a BS degree, I'm mid-life, and feel the BSN they offer will allow me to pursue a MSN that much faster. But as my friend has shared, if it's disorganized and not top-notch, then I'll probably get frustrated and annoyed and probably couldn't keep it to myself.

So I would be extremely grateful for any feedback from recent UCF grads, current 2nd year program students, or anyone else who could make a knowledgeable comparison between UCF and BCC @ Cocoa.

Thank you very much!
