Any Science Fair Project ideas????? Needed FAST! :)

Published

I know this is not nursing related, but my son's mom is a nurse!!! :)

He can't decide what he wants to do for his science project. Needs an idea by tomorrow. :uhoh21:

First he was gonna do sound waves and how they travel through water and different atmospheres. He's almost 15, so of course has now changed his mind!

I've tried different ideas...milk pasterurization....fingerprinting..heart/lung or bodily organ functions.....etc...and he's not interested in any of them. BUT, he's REALLY excited about this Science Fair. Typical teen...wants mom's help, but none of mom's ideas! LOL!!! :uhoh3:

Anyone got any good, quick ideas?? This is my first Science Fair with him...or any kid for that matter...lol. And of course, he has hated every single one of my ideas. When I told him I was going to ask a bunch of nurses he said, "Hey, good idea mom." :imbar So what.....do you think you're living with a mechanic or what kid???? :uhoh21:

Any ideas with as little work/supplies required from ME as possible would be VERY, VERY much appreciated. :chuckle

Thanks so much,

Kim

When I was in high school, I did a science fair project on the amounts of chlorine in the water of various community water systems throughout my county. Then went on to elaborate about if these levels were safe, alternate methods of water purification, etc. Pretty boring, but I won first prize and I'm still proud of it 12 years later! :chuckle :chuckle

Great idea Manna! Zach's already interested!!! Thanks!!! :)

Glad I could help. Good luck to him (and you) on deciding! I'm sure you'll get some great input here.

I ran a quick google search and came up with this site that looks pretty interesting as far as science fair info goes... it even breaks project ideas down by category and has an interactive project search function (I didn't go that far)
